Who we are
Interactive Displays Canada supplies interactive whiteboards and related services to schools, districts and other organisations across Canada. If you have any questions about this policy or about the information we hold, please email us at sales@smart-boards.ca and we will be glad to help.
What we collect
When you send a quote request, book a demo or ask for a call back, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number, the school or district you represent, and anything you write in the message field, including screen sizes and quantities.
We also collect basic technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit on this site and the referring source, including whether you arrived from an advertisement.
Why we use it
We use your contact details to prepare and send your quote, arrange a demo or call you back, and to follow up on that request. We use technical information to keep the site working, understand which pages are useful and measure the performance of our advertising.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that affect you, and we do not sell it.
Legal basis and consent
We handle personal information in line with Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. When you send a form, you are giving us permission to contact you about your enquiry. If you would rather we stopped, just email us and we will, with no need to give a reason.
Who we share it with
We share your details only where it is necessary to answer your enquiry or run this site:
- Our customer relationship system, which stores enquiries so our team can respond
- Manufacturers or their distributors, where a specific quote, warranty claim or technical question requires it
- Installation partners, where your project involves scheduling work at your site
- Analytics and advertising providers, which receive technical and usage data rather than the contents of your enquiry
We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your session, measure traffic and attribute enquiries to advertising campaigns. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.
Where it is stored and for how long
Information may be processed or stored outside Canada by service providers acting on our behalf, and is therefore subject to the laws of those countries. We keep enquiry records only as long as needed for the purpose they were collected and for our own record-keeping and legal obligations, after which they are deleted.
Your rights
You are welcome to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Email sales@smart-boards.ca and we will respond within the time limits set by Canadian privacy law. If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled a request, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections to this site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is intended for staff who research and buy classroom technology rather than for students, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their information, please let us know and we will remove it promptly.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and the current version always appears on this page.

About these terms
These terms explain how we work together when you use this website or ask us for a quote. We have kept them as plain as we can. If anything raises a question, please get in touch and we will talk it through with you.
Quotes and pricing
Nothing on this site is an offer to sell or a binding price. Product information, specifications and comparisons are provided for guidance and may change without notice as manufacturers revise their ranges. A quote becomes binding only when we issue it in writing and you accept it, and quotes are valid for the period stated on the document.
Prices exclude applicable taxes and any duties unless the quote says otherwise. Where a quote covers a phased rollout, the terms of that phasing are set out in the quote itself.
Product information and specifications
Specifications shown here are taken from manufacturer documentation current at the time of writing. Manufacturers may alter specifications, model names or availability at any time. Where a detail matters to your decision, ask us to confirm it in writing before you order.
Orders, delivery and installation
Orders are accepted subject to stock and manufacturer lead times, which we confirm on the quote rather than on this page. Delivery and installation dates are scheduled with you and are estimates unless stated otherwise in writing. Access to your site, working power and network provision remain your responsibility unless the quote says we are handling them.
Warranty
Displays we supply carry a three year manufacturer-backed warranty on parts and labour from the date of delivery, unless a different term is stated on your quote. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover accidental damage, misuse, unauthorised repair or modification, damage caused by unsuitable power or environment, or normal cosmetic wear. Warranty service is arranged through us. Full manufacturer warranty terms are available on request and are supplied with your order.
Included services
Where a quote states that installation, staff training or ongoing support are included, those services are provided on the terms described in that quote. Support and training arrangements vary by manufacturer, and the specific entitlement for the model you order is confirmed in writing before purchase.
Returns
If you need to return goods that were supplied correctly, please speak to us first so we can arrange it. Items should be unused and in their original packaging, and a restocking charge may apply. Anything faulty is looked after under the warranty above rather than treated as a return.
Third party software and services
Displays include software provided by their manufacturers and, in some cases, by third parties such as Google or Microsoft. Your use of that software is governed by the licence terms of those providers. Licensing arrangements differ by brand, including whether tools are included permanently or renewed periodically, and the arrangement for your chosen model is set out in your quote.
Use of this website
This site is here to help you research and enquire about classroom displays, and you are welcome to use it for that. We do ask that the content is not copied for commercial use or collected by automated means without our permission. Text, images and layout belong to us or our suppliers. Manufacturer names and logos are the trademarks of their respective owners and appear here to identify the products we supply.
Liability
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of teaching time, data or anticipated savings, and our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for the goods or services concerned.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the province in which the goods are delivered and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes are subject to the courts of that province.
Contact
If anything here is unclear, or you would like a copy of these terms alongside your quote, please email us at sales@smart-boards.ca and we will be happy to go through it with you.
